Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ecological Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ecological projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, supporting our project delivery team to ensure that they are providing excellent on time and in budget service and delivering high-quality results, keeping our clients updated, informed and working with them to find the best practical solution.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage ecological projects from inception to completion.

Conduct site assessments and ecological surveys.

Develop and implement project plans and timelines.

Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Prepare detailed project reports and documentation for SMT
-
Manage project budgets and resources.

Supervise and mentor junior ecologists and project staff.
Requirements:
-
A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in ecological project management.

Strong knowledge of UK ecology and environmental law.

Excellent project management and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Proficiency in using ecological survey and data analysis tools.

Experience in BNG
-
Experience of writing fee proposals, preparing tenders and bids

Reviewing of risk assessments and project plans

Desirable
-
Natural England Class licences ( Bat/ Dormouse/ Badger)

Experience working with highways and construction clients
-
Experience of working in ecological consultancy
